VPOD: A Bundle of Bangles

Bakelite, like many scientific finds, was discovered by accident in 1907 by a chemist, Dr. Leo Baekeland. Often called "the material of a thousand uses," Bakelite was used by Thomas Edison for his gramaphone records, on many luxury ocean liners and, of course, to create some outstanding vintage jewelry.

Today's VPOD features a trio of faceted Bakelite bangles in juicy colors of lemon, cranberry and lime. The one-inch wide sparkling cuffs are quite substantial and, while each one could be worn alone, they certainly pack a punch when worn together!

They are highly collectible treasures for a vintage fashionista!
