VPOD: A Gem of a Jacket

in 1933, Adolf Schuman founded his wholesale business and named it "Lilli Ann" after his wife Lillian. The company grew quickly and had over $1 million in sales by 1940.

Now I'm a real Lilli Ann fan as are many vintage fashionistas, but I particularly love the work from these early days of the company. Take a look at today's VPOD.

This black knit jacket from the late 1940s has quite contemporary styling with its gathered torso and band collar. Add in the just the right amount of pearls and rhinestones and you have a wonderful piece that you can wear for day or evening.

It's a gem of a jacket for a vintage fashionista!

Available at Vintage Martini.
